Two airports. One city.
The Mumbai Metropolitan Region is served by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) at Santacruz and Sahar, and, since late 2025, by Navi Mumbai International Airport — the new city airport this site labels "Mumbai 2.0" (an editorial label, not an official brand).

Between the two airports
At present the airports have no rail link between them: travelling between CSMIA and NMIA means road or suburban rail transfers. Metro Line 8 (Gold), the approved CSMIA ↔ NMIA corridor, is recorded as approved — not under construction; no opening date is announced. Details on the Line 8 Gold page.
